West Brom host Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town in the Championship’s evening kick off on Saturday.

West Brom welcome joint-leaders Ipswich Town to The Hawthorns tomorrow evening, for what should be an entertaining, high-quality clash in the Championship.

The Baggies currently sit in 7th place of the table compared to Ipswich Town in 2nd, with the Tractor Boys now level on points with leaders Leicester City.

Both teams have enjoyed strong seasons so far and both teams play attractive, attacking football, with both boasting well-regarded tacticians in the dugout.

Here we look at three Ipswich Town players that Carlos Corberan and West Brom should be wary of tomorrow…

Conor Chaplin

Ipswich Town’s livewire in attack; Conor Chaplin scored an incredible 26 goals in League One last time round and is his side’s top scorer in the Championship so far, with six goals and three assists to his name.

His pace and drive has made him a nightmare for opposition defences all season, with the same attributes matching the high-energy, pressing game that Ipswich like to adopt under McKenna.

Keeping him quiet is going to be tricky for whoever the centre-pairing is for West Brom tomorrow, but doing so could be pivotal in securing a West Brom win.

The Ipswich Town captain is a very well-liked name among fans and someone with great Championship and Football League experience behind him, having represented the likes of Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough in the past.

He’s earned high praise in some of his performances this season and rightly so; he’s proving to be a vital cog in the Ipswich engine, linking defence and attack with smart passing and good positioning, so keeping him inactive tomorrow will be key for West Brom.

Corberan may well choose to have someone directly marking Morsy in an attempt to quash Ipswich attacks before they even begin.

Brandon Williams

The man on loan from Manchester United has thoroughly impressed this season.

He started the season as a back-up left-back but after injuries gave him a starting spot, he’s not looked back since, and he’s become a vital player for the Tractor Boys.

Williams loves getting forward and driving with the ball, so whoever starts on the right for West Brom tomorrow will have to keep an eye on Williams’ bursting runs from deep.

He’s also proving to be a goal-threat too, with two scored in 10 Championship appearances so far this season.
