The winner of the FA Cup fourth round tie between West Brom and Wolves will receive a tidy six-figure windfall.
West Brom welcome Midlands rivals Wolves to The Hawthorns later this month.
It’s a first meeting between the two since they met in the Premier League in 2021, and Wolves will be going in search of their first win at the home of West Brom since 1996.
Gary O’Neil’s side have been in fine form in the Premier League having won one of their last seven to move up into 11th place of the table.
Carlos Corberan‘s West Brom meanwhile have had a mixed spell of form in recent weeks; they’ve won four of their last eight in all competitions but have lost three, losing 2-0 away at Norwich City in the last outing.
West Brom or Wolves set for £120,000 windfall
As per the FA website, fourth round winners each receive £120,000 in prize money, with the prize for winning in the third round being £105,000.
Then there’s a £225,000 prize for quarter-final winners, £1million for semi-final winners, and £2million for the eventual winners of the tournament.
The Baggies haven’t reached the fifth round of the FA Cup since the 2019/20 campaign and they haven’t reached the quarter-finals since the 2014/15 season.

Strong Baggies XI expected against Wolves
The game against Wolves is going to be a memorable one for many reasons.
It’s a huge Midlands clash and history could be made by one side or the other; for Wolves it could be a first win at The Hawthorns in nearly 30 years, whilst the Baggies could maintain their strong recent record against what is currently an in form Premier League Wolves.
And given West Brom’s ongoing takeover saga, with finances as tight as ever, this potential six-figure windfall could be hugely helpful for the club, so expect Corberan to field a strong XI when the two teams meet on Sunday.
A win here would be a huge confidence booster for the players amid a slight dip in form in the Championship; mainly on the road with West Brom having lost four of their last five away from home.
But at The Hawthorns, West Brom are strong, and Wolves will need to be at their best to take a win this weekend.
