West Brom take on 2nd place Ipswich Town in the Championship this weekend, and the Baggies could have some fresh faces back for this one.
West Brom currently sit in 7th place of the table and take on joint-leaders Ipswich Town at The Hawthorns this weekend.
It should be an exciting spectacle between two great tacticians in Carlos Corberan and Kieran McKenna, with both teams liking to play fast and attacking football.
And the Baggies have received a few boosts on the injury front ahead of this weekend’s game as well.
As per Express & Star, Josh Maja and John Swift are in contention to start this weekend, and Corberan has also played down fears of a potential injury for Grady Diangana.
The attacker sustained an ankle injury whilst on international duty with DR Congo this month, but speaking to Express & Star ahead of this weekend, the West Brom boss said:
“I think the international break, for the international players, in my opinion has been positive.
“Not very positive, because Grady was changed by a turning of his ankle, but fortunately there has not been any injury there and he has been ready to compete normal training with the group.”
Diangana for West Brom this season…
Diangana has always had lofty expectations at West Brom given the amount of money that the Baggies spent on bringing him to the club from West Ham in 2020.
And he’s received mixed reviews in the past, but under Corberan, Diangana has found more consistency and better form.
He’s now played 11 times in the Championship this season, scoring twice and assisting three more, having become a regular in the starting XI over the past few weeks.
So Corberan and indeed the Baggies faithful will be delighted to know that he’s not sustained an injury whilst on international duty.

Focus on Ipswich Town
Ipswich Town may well be West Brom’s toughest assignment of the season so far.
The Tractor Boys will be buzzing after their overall start to the season and after closing the gap to Leicester City before the break, but they too will know that this weekend’s game is a very tough one.
It’ll be a game between two very similar managers and styles, so it should be a very entertaining one for the neutral viewer.
Both teams have the firepower needed to win and West Brom may well fancy their chances with Diangana fit, and the likes of Maja and Swift returning as well.
The game kicks off at 5:30pm on Saturday afternoon and will be shown live on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event.
