Grady Diangana may be a wanted man, but West Brom won’t let him leave cheaply.

A number of the Baggies’ Championship rivals are considering a move for Grady Diangana this summer, but West Brom will hold out for the highest price they can get, as reported by Express & Star.

The former West Ham United winger has been a regular in the first team at the Hawthorns since his permanent arrival in 2020. The former England under-21 international was considered a very hot prospect at the time with plenty of potential.

The 25-year-old may not since have scaled the heights once expected of him but he’s been a reliable presence at the Hawthorns. However, he has been less prominent since Carlos Corberan took the helm. This could suggest that his time with the Midlands club is drawing to a close.

What next for Grady Diangana?

If he were to stay, the DR Congo-born attacker would likely still have role to play in Corberan’s squad. However, with West Brom needing to sell in order to raise funds and cut their wage budget, Diangana would be an ideal player to offload. If a good offer were to come in then it would be very hard to refuse. That being said, West Brom have no reason to accept anything below their own valuation of the player.

Diangana’s fitness issues could prove a stumbling block. He missed the last third of the season and underwent surgery for a ligament injury in his foot.

However, if this issue can be overcome, West Brom would be tempted to cash in and Diangana could certainly flourish elsewhere in the Championship.
