West Brom have entered a new era with their change in ownership recently.
Last month, it was confirmed that Florida businessman Shilen Patel has completed his takeover of the club from Guochuan Lai.
Having secured a controlling stake at The Hawthorns, Patel is already taking steps to secure the club’s future.
That is perhaps most notable, with him recently paying off one of the loans that had been hanging over West Brom.
There is still work that Patel will need to do of course. Some of that will involve fine-tuning the squad available to Carlos Corberan come the summer.
To do that, there will be some players who need to move on to make room for new arrivals, not least by clearing space in the wage budget.
So with that in mind, we’ve taken at three players Patel may want to move on from West Brom at the end of the season, right here.
Adam Reach is a big earner
Joining the Baggies on a free transfer back in the summer of 2021, Reach has struggled to establish himself at The Hawthorns.
He has made more appearances off the bench than as a starter in the Championship for West Brom. Even then, his involvement has reduced as the years have gone on. Despite that, Salary Sport report that Reach is earning £23,000 per week on his current contract. That makes him the joint fifth-highest paid player in the squad.
Combining those two issues together, means it seems as though it would be a strange move to hand him a new contract when his current one expires this summer.
Karlan Grant has already been loaned out by West Brom

The Baggies spent big money to complete the signing of Grant back in the summer of 2020. However, despite promising spells, the attacker has not been a consistent source of goals for the club.
As a result, West Brom allowed the 26-year-old to leave on loan back in the summer. That saw him link up with Championship rivals Cardiff City. He has also somewhat struggled for goals there, with just five goals in 34 league games for the Bluebirds this season.
With that in mind, he may not have done enough to earn him another chance at The Hawthorns from next season. Moving him on in the summer could therefore prove to be the right move. Indeed, with two years remaining on his contract, this would be an opportunity to generate some useful funds from his sale.
Martin Kelly has been blighted by injury
Kelly joined West Brom in the summer of 2022, but made just a handful of appearances before being loaned out to Wigan Athletic in January 2023.
His stint with the Latics was then ended by an ACL injury after just a single appearance. Since returning to The Hathowns, the defender has continued to be blighted by injury. As a result, he has yet to make an appearance for the Baggies this season.
After so long out, it may be difficult for the 33-year-old to get back up to speed when he is in contention to play again. With that in mind, it may not be a surprise if Kelly is let go in the summer when his contract expires, to make room for potential new additions at The Hawthorns.
