West Brom have had very little joy when it comes to Daryl Dike and injuries.
The Baggies spent big money to bring the striker to The Hawthorns in January 2022. However, he has since been blighted by injury.
Across what is now over two years with the club, the striker has made just 32 appearances in all competitions.
He is sadly, unlikely to add to that tally any time soon either. Last month, Dike was ruled out until the end of the calendar year. That came after he suffered a similar leg injury to one that had already kept him out of action for a year of his West Brom career.
Losing the 23-year-old for another long period, does of course, mean Carlos Corberan‘s side are again short on numbers in the centre forward area.
So with that in mind, we’ve taken a look at three strikers the Baggies could target to replace Dike, right here.
Sinclair Armstrong is catching the eye
While QPR have struggled this season, one player who has impressed at Loftus Road this season, is Sinclair Armstrong.
The young striker has caused problems for numerous opposition defences with his strength and pace. He has also started to add more goals to his game in recent times. He is therefore, becoming a more rounded Championship striker.
That may suggest he can fill the void left by Dike. Meanwhile, the fact that he is playing for a side who are facing the threat of relegation this season, could play into the hands of West Brom should they make a move this summer.
West Brom have done business with Tommy Conway’s Bristol City

Another young striker who has been enjoying something of a breakthrough period recently, is Tommy Conway.
The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals in 73 appearances in all competitions for Bristol City since the start of last season. He is also adapting well to the all-round challenges of senior football, also possessing proving to be physically capable of coping with what opposition defenders throw at him.
West Brom and Bristol City have also done business recently with the likes of Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Andreas Weimann. That could help if the two wanted to negotiate a deal in the summer, when Conway will be entering the final 12 months of his contract at Ashton Gate, which could put them under pressure to sell.
Duncan McGuire missed out on Championship move in January
It was MLS side Orlando City who West Brom signed Dike, and they may have another centre forward who is worth targeting for the Baggies, in Duncan McGuire.
The 23-year-old had been close to signing for another Championship side, Blackburn Rovers, on the final day of the winter window. However, administrative issues caused that deal to collapse, meaning he is now back in the USA.
Even so, McGuire could be on the radar of clubs one again in the summer, given the presence he offers in the final third, and his clinical finishing ability. At the same age as Dike, and with a club the Baggies man previously played for, there are connections beyond that, which may make this one to consider for those at The Hawthorns.
