West Brom youngster Tom Fellows has penned a new three-and-a-half year contract extension at The Hawthorns.
West Brom have agreed fresh terms with the exciting Fellows, after the 20-year-old’s previous deal was set to expire at the end of this season.
The Baggies academy graduate made his Championship debut in the 2021/22 campaign and spent last season on loan with Crawley Town.
But he’s since returned to The Hawthorns and he’s making more and more of an impact in the first-team, featuring 15 times in the Championship this season and scoring one goal.
Tom Fellows hails Carlos Corberan after penning new West Brom deal
Speaking to the club after signing his new contract, Fellows revealed how boss Carlos Corberan and his influence on players was a deciding factor behind the decision.
Fellows said:
“It was an easy decision for me to make in the end. Carlos Corberán played a big part too because I know he believes in me. He’s shown that by playing me in games and starting me in others. It’s so important to have a manager that believes in you.”
Corberan has shown an increasing amount of faith in Fellows; the attacker has started three of West Brom’s five games in 2024, scoring in the FA Cup win over Aldershot Town and netting his first league goal for the club in the following win over Blackburn Rovers.

Corberan is the Baggies’ biggest asset
Despite all the noise off the pitch, West Brom and Corberan continue to delver on the pitch, and almost all the credit must go to the Spaniard.
He’s had to deal with injuries, player sales, and a lack of investment in the transfer market, yet he continues to find a way to keep the Baggies competing at the top end of the Championship table.
And if it weren’t for Corberan, a lot of West Brom’s players might be pushing for a move amid all the off-field uncertainty.
But judging by Fellows’ comments, it’s clear what kind of influence Corberan has over the players.
They want to repay the faith he shows in them and Fellows now paves the way for more West Brom youngsters to make the step up into the first-team.
And the youth academy might yet become an important source of first-team players, with transfers still at a minimum as we enter the final week of the transfer window.
