West Brom are hoping to extend this player’s contract, ahead of his current contract expiry in the summer.
West Brom already have the barebones of a first-team squad. But with several out of contract in the summer, and with the club still in the midst of a takeover process, 2024 could yet be a testing year for the Baggies.
But Carlos Corberan has now revealed that the club are working on a new deal for at least one of their out of contract players; Tom Fellows.
The West Brom academy man has made his mark this season, featuring 14 times in the Championship and playing the full 90 in the 1-0 defeat against Swansea City last time out.
Carlos Corberan says club in contract talks with Tom Fellows
Speaking to Express & Star, Corberan revealed that West Brom are in contract renewal talks with the 20-year-old Fellows, saying:
“I know that the club is working in this aspect – with some of the players, especially now individually I can tell you with Tom Fellows, because the club is of course focused on this.
“We are going to make our best to extend our possibilities with the player and to keep working with players like him.”
As well as Fellows, all of Alex Mowatt, Cedric Kipre, Nathaniel Chalobah, Adam Reach, Matt Phillips, Erik Pieters, Martin Kelly, and Ted Cann are out of contract this summer.

West Brom facing make or break 2024
West Brom are really in store for a crucial January and a crucial year ahead.
It’s said that the club’s finances are set to run dry after January and so the club’s future seemingly hinges on this takeover going through, and soon.
And even it the takeover does go through, West Brom then face a huge task in terms of contracts; should all of their out of contract players leave in the summer then Corberan and co will have a major rebuilding job on their hands.
But it seems like the club are starting work on contracts and Fellows is a good player to start with.
He’s one of the younger players in what is an ageing squad (27.7 years average age, as per Transfermarkt), and so it’s understandable that Corberan would want to keep him at the club and start to build a team around him.
Fellows has shown a lot of potential and wingers are crucial to this Corberan set up; given Fellows’ age, Corberan can start to mold him into the type of player he wants.
West Brom go up against Aldershot Town in the FA Cup tomorrow.
