Carlos Corberan has provided an injury update on Cedric Kipre after the defender limped off in Tuesday’s win against QPR.
The 26-year-old landed awkwardly after going up for a header – being helped off the field by some of the West Brom medical team.
Boss Corberan couldn’t confirm the time scale of his injury, however, he did admit he was hoping the defender would be out for weeks rather than months.
Kipre has been revitalised under Corberan since his return from his loan spell at Cardiff City last season, with his latest setback a real frustration for the Albion manager.

Corberan on Kipre’s injury blow
Speaking to local media after the game, Corberan confirmed that on first look Kipre’s injury could be a serious one.
“It’s not the best news with him or the injuries we are having. Kipre looks like a serious injury, we’ll know something more on Wednesday.
“I don’t know if it going to be weeks or months. We need to see how much, but it is the more negative point of this game, to lose another player.
“He’s an important player. We are working with him a lot to make sure his concentration is always high, but he has some very good conditions as a player – that’s why he’s playing.
“It’s why we believe in him and that’s why it’s a pity to lose any player, but to lose someone playing in the first XI is even harder.
Squad depth a concern for Corberan
After Kipre’s injury, Albion are set to lose another key first-team member for a considerable amount of time.
Multiple first-team players including John Swift remain unavailable, with last night’s bench consisting of six academy players, with five aged 20 or under.
Coberan and Albion fans will now be keeping a close eye on Kipre’s injury, hoping the defender can make a quick and speedy recovery.
