West Bromwich Albion midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah looks set to depart the club after just six months at The Hawthorns.
According to John Percy, the 28-year-old has flown to Israel in order to complete a permanent move to Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa.
The midfielder only made 13 appearances last season and was a rotation player behind the duo of Jayson Molumby and Okay Yokusulu.
Former Chelsea man Chalobah, who has a year left on his current deal, is open to leaving the club as they look to cut the wage bill in order to balance the books this summer.
Dara O’Shea has already left the club on a permanent deal this summer, joining newly promoted Burnley with £15 million striker Karlan Grant joining Cardiff on a season-long loan.

West Brom’s midfield situation
With Chalobah’s potential move to Israel, it would leave boss Carlos Corberan with four senior central midfielders.
The Spaniard plays a 4-2-3-1, with Yokusulu and Molumby the usual two players operating in the defensive midfield roles.
Taylor Gardner-Hickman is also capable of playing the same role, however, under Corberan he has often utilised down the right-hand side.
Alex Mowatt has returned from his loan at fellow Championship side Middlesbrough and has the chance to impress the boss throughout pre-season.
Speaking before the outing at Cheltenham, Corberan admitted the 28-year-old could change his plans this season.
“It’s not going to happen the same if you have Mowatt and Molumby in the same position – they give you different behaviours. They play the game in different ways.
“Mowatt plays as a six – he has the ability to play in the building-up of the action.”
Despite the players in the defensive midfield roles, Corberan may want to add another body to provide added strength and depth.
