West Brom will be looking to further secure their place in the Championship play-off spots on Wednesday night.

The Baggies made it four wins and just one defeat in their last seven league games on Friday night.

That came with a 2-1 win at home to Coventry City at The Hawthorns. As a result, Carlos Corberan‘s side currently sit 5th in the Championship table, four points clear of 7th place Norwich City.

Next up for West Brom, is a trip to Loftus Road to face QPR. Their hosts have endured a difficult campaign so far.

They currently sit 20th in the standings, and are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference. However, they are enjoying a resurgence of late.

Marti Cifuentes’ side have won their last three games, including a 2-1 victory away at league leaders Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

This therefore, looks as though it could be a challenging ask for West Brom to claim all three points.

Latest West Brom team news

The Baggies have been dealt another blow in the lead up to this game. Left-back Conor Townsend is set to miss the next two games with a hamstring problem.

Midfielder Jayson Molumby, winger Matt Phillips and strikers Josh Maja and Daryl Dike are all longer-term absentees for West Brom as well.

Another centre forward, Brandon Thomas-Asante, is closing in on a return to action, but unlikely to feature against QPR.

However, midfielder Yan M’Vila could make his West Brom debut. The 33-year-old joined as a free agent last month on a deal until the end of the season.

How Carlos Corberan could line up vs QPR

Corberan will no doubt have to make changes for this trip to Loftus Road.

However, Alex Palmer ought to remain in goal, having been a reliable figure between the posts in the Championship this season.

In defence, Townsend’s absence could see Pipa come into the side. After starting each of the last five games, 35-year-old Erik Pieters could be due a break.

That may see Semi Ajayi return to the starting XI, partnering Cedric Kipre in the centre of defence.

Darnell Furlong ought to again continue at right-back for West Brom, coming up against the club where he began his senior career.

With M’Vila in line to make his debut, he could replace Okay Yokuslu in the centre of the park, alongside Alex Mowatt.

Celtic loanee Mikey Johnston and Tom Fellows have both been in excellent form recently. They should therefore again start on the wings for the Baggies here.

Having got on the scoresheet on Friday night, Grady Diangana may keep his place in the West Brom starting XI in the number ten role.

With the majority of their centre forward options still unavailable, Jed Wallace could again lead the line on Wednesday night.

Here’s how we think West Brom will line up against QPR:
