‘Sack the lot of them’: West Brom fans don’t hold back after Oxford defeat

West Brom fans were left furious after watching their side lose once more to relegation rivals and slump ever closer to the third tier.

Eric Ramsay was sacked earlier this week after nine games without a win, that record went to 10 as Abion lost 2-1 to Oxford United.

Every result had gone Albion’s way before kick-off but the Baggies failed to capitalise and gifted fellow strugglers Oxford a chance at survival, who are now just three points adrift.

Fans who were at the Kassam Stadium booed their side off the pitch as James Morrison failed to inspire his side to a performance worthy of the away support this season.

It was a similar story on social media as fans vented their frustrations.

One fan wrote: “I have been supporting Albion for over 30 years. This is the most inept, talentless, spineless, bunch of footballers I have EVER seen. We deserve everything we get. They let us down time and time again. I’ve had enough.”

Another added: “We can keep sacking managers but nothing gets any better. At some point we need to acknowledge that the real problem is this arrogant, gutless group of players who think they can pick and choose which managers they play for. They haven’t the heart for this fight!”

West Brom are looking for their third head coach this season and fans are now looking at the players who continue to perform well below the expected level.

“Like it or lump it I’m afraid this team is League One at best,” one fan vented.

Another fan said: “I’ve given up on hope now. The players have shown nothing when it matters most. No fight, no pride for the shirt or themselves. They gave up in January and have been on the beach since. They’ll move on, leaving a wake of destruction. Professionals in title only.”

“They’re not fit to wear the badge. Sack the lot of them. This isn’t about managers it’s about them,” said another.”
