West Brom got back to winning ways at the first attempt on Tuesday night.
Following their 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Friday, the Baggies made the long trip to Home Park to face Plymouth Argyle.
It would prove to be a producitive evening for Carlos Corberan‘s side. Second half goals from Cedirc Kipre, Mikey Johnston and Tom Fellows secured a 3-0 win for the visitors.
That has seen West Brom further cement their place in the top six in the Championship table.
Now it seems as though one player who particularly caught the eye for the Baggies in that win, was Fellows himself.
Nigel Quashie hails West Brom academy graduate
This has already proved to be something of a breakthrough season for Fellows with the Baggies.
Having previously only made a handful of appearances for the club, the 20-year-old is now becoming a much more regular feature in the West Brom side.
During the current campaign, Fellows has made 24 appearances in all competitions for the club. As well as providing two assists in that time, his close range striker against Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday, took him to four goals for the season.
The winger’s all-round performances are also impressing, and Quashie seems particularly impressed by the way Fellows has applied himself since breaking into the side.
Taking to X to give his thoughts on that win at Home Park, Quashie – who made 30 appearances for West Brom between 2006 and 2007 – said: “Let’s talk about Tom Fellows who has been fantastic since he’s been given his opportunity.
“Nothing better than seeing a young player playing with confidence, no fear, a real appetite to play with and without the ball.
“That’s how you set the standards for the rest of the academy players coming through. All the best trying to get him out the team! Another young player worth talking about on that journey home.”
Next up for Fellows and his West Brom teammates is a trip to the MKM Stadium to face fellow play-off hopefuls Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

Recent Tom Fellows contract an excellent Baggies move
Earlier this year, the Baggies announced that Fellows had put pen to paper on a new contract at The Hawthorns.
That deal is set to secure his future with West Brom, until the end of the 2026/27 season. Given it came amid reports of interest in him from Leicester City and Southampton, that always looked a sensible move.
Now, Fellows is backing up the decision up that decision to extend his contract with his performances.
The 20-year-old is becoming an influential figure for West Brom, showing just how important he can be to this team.
As a result, keeping him amid that interest from elsewhere, will surely now help West Brom for years to come.
The fact that he is one of the club’s own after coming through the youth system will only make this even more satisfying for Baggies supporters.
With that in mind, Fellows does seem to be one of the many reasons why now is an exciting time to be a West Brom fan.
