West Brom welcome Midlands rivals Wolves in a highly-anticipated FA Cup fourth round clash on Sunday.

West Brom see Wolves make the short trip to The Hawthorns tomorrow lunchtime, where they’ll go in search of their first win at the home of the Baggies since 1996.

And it’s a first meeting between these two Midlands rivals since they were both in the Premier League in 2021, though with both in good form this season, it should make for an exciting encounter.

And BBC pundit Chris Sutton has now offered his score prediction for tomorrow’s game.

Chris Sutton predicts 2-1 win for Wolves against West Brom

Writing his prediction for tomorrow’s game, former striker and now pundit Sutton wrote:

“This local derby is always a big occasion and it should be a great game too. I watched West Brom lose at Norwich at the weekend, but they were a bit unlucky actually because they dominated possession.

“Wolves are on a nice run of form in the league, and I think their manager Gary O’Neil will fancy a bit of a cup run. I can see the scoreline being close, but I am pretty confident they will beat the Baggies.”

Sutton went on to predict a 2-1 win for Wolves, who currently sit in 11th place of the Premier League and have lost just one of their last nine in all competitions.

Carlos Corberan‘s West Brom meanwhile sit in 5th place of the Championship table but lost their last outing 2-0 away at Norwich City, with two losses and four wins from their last six games in all competitions.

All the pressure on the away side tomorrow

Tomorrow’s game really is lining up to be an exciting one between two good teams and two close rivals too.

But much of the pressure is on Wolves instead of West Brom; they’re the Premier League team and they’re the team who’s had way more investment over the past few years.

So for West Brom, being the underdog for once, and at The Hawthorns where they’ve been formidable this season, they could really prevail.

It’ll be an unusual situation for the Baggies who are often the dominant side at home, but if they can get one over Wolves then it’ll do the club a world of good.

It’ll give everyone a huge confidence boost and it’ll show potential buyers what the club and fanbase is all about, so a win for West Brom over Wolves tomorrow could pay huge dividends both on and off the pitch.

Kick off is at 11:45am, with the game being shown live on ITV.
